Into The Wild. You Don't Need Money .

You would think that being wealthy, having a college education and bright future ahead of you  would make everyone happy well apparently some people would rather have no money and hitchhike across the country to the middle of nowhere and to them that is happiness. In Into The Wild by Jon Krakaruer the main character Chris does just that he abandons his seemingly perfect life to pursue what will truly make him happy. The message that he is sending is a important one he is saying that just because you have money does not mean that you are happy and  that if you do not have money that you can still be happy and not miserable.  He is searching for something more he is searching for his freedom and independence, he also doesn't agree with how society functions and no longer wants to be apart of it. He is searching for what will make him happy and to him it is not materialistic, he doesn't believe that having a bunch of stuff is what people should aspire for, because at the end of the day it is just stuff.
